Women's Studio Workshop Ora Schneider Regional Residency Grant

I spent September 2023 in Rosendale, New York at Women’s Studio Workshop. I was one of two recipients of an Ora Schneider Regional Residency Grant. I worked in the silk screen studio and Mara Baldwin, the other recipient worked in hand papermaking. It was an amazing experience and I fell back in love with making prints. I would like to thank the staff, interns & administration of WSW for their support. In addition, my deepest gratitude to Gail Schneider Matlin, and her mother, Ora Schneider.

The Vassar Review/2023/Interiors & Intimacies

Pages 32-33 of The Vassar Review, 2023, featuring Bee, 2020 by Monica Church and Rootbound by Maryam Ghafoor.

Happy that my small painting, Bee, is within the covers of the current issue, Interiors & Intimacies of The Vassar Review, 2023.

From The Vassar Review website: “The Vassar Review is an international, multidisciplinary literary arts journal that fosters working relationships between faculty, students, and published artists in order to engage its annual theme with care and reflective insight.

The journal is a revival of the former literary arts magazine published by the faculty and students of Vassar College. VR entered the literary scene in 1927 shaped by a small circle of students, including Elizabeth Bishop. Today, the journal is international in scope and multidisciplinary in nature, across both a print and digital interface.”
